In our research, the focus is on spatial aspects of economic activities and innovation-based transformation processes. Of particular importance are questions on the spatial configuration of innovation and transformation processes for sustainability, on disparities in regional development and on regional politics and planning. The research activities of the working group are theory-led, evidence-based and policy-relevant and organized in two main areas:
