We are pleased to invite you to the Welcome Day on October 1, 2025! This day is specifically designed for all first-semester students—both Bachelor's and Master's—and offers you the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow students, explore the Department of Geography and Regional Research, and receive important information for a successful start to your studies.

• Introduction of the Department | 8:30 a.m.: The Department of Geography and Regional Research will introduce itself. Joint institute event for first-semester Bachelor's and Master's students in Lecture Hall I (NIG, Ground floor). 
• Bachelor's students:
  • BA STEOP event | 10:00 a.m.: STEOP event in Lecture Hall I (NIG, Ground floor).
  • BA NIG GUIDED TOUR | 11:30 a.m.: Guided tour of the new institute building (NIG) and Open Office.
• Master's students:
  • MA NIG GUIDED TOUR | 10:00 a.m.: Guided tour of the new institute building (NIG) and Open Office.
  • MA Info Event | 11:45 a.m.:
    • Master Geographies of Global Change and Sustainability Transformations: Lecture Hall 4C (NIG, 4th floor)
    • Master Physical Geography: Environmental Dynamics and Sustainability: Seminarraum (NIG, 5. Stock)
    • Master Spatial Data Science and Geocommunication: Lecture Hall 5A (NIG, 5th floor)
• Geo Picnic | from 2:00 p.m.: Bring your lunch and picnic blanket. Universitätscampus, Areal 2
