Dear First-Semester Students, 

We are pleased to invite you to the Welcome Day on October 3, 2024! This day is specifically designed for all first-semester students—both Bachelor's and Master's—and offers you the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow students, explore the Department of Geography and Regional Research, and receive important information for a successful start to your studies.

Program Schedule:

• 9:45 a.m.: Joint institute event for first-semester Bachelor's and Master's students in Lecture Hall C1/Hof 2(University Campus, Spitalgasse 2, 1090 Vienna). The Department of Geography and Regional Research will introduce itself.
• 11:30 a.m.:
  • Bachelor's students: STEOP event in Lecture Hall C1/Hof 2. Afterwards: Guided tour of the new institute building (NIG) and Open Office (starting at 1:00 p.m.).
  • Master's students: Guided tour of the new institute building (NIG) and Open Office.
• 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.: Information session for Master's students. Room allocation:
  • Master Global Change and Sustainability: Room 5A (5th floor, A518)
  • Cartography and Geoinformation: Hyperglobus Room (1st floor, C128)
  • Spatial Research and Spatial Planning: Geography Seminar Room/Conference Room (5th floor, C520)
• From 4:00 p.m.: Casual get-together at the Spritzer Stand in the Alte AKH. You can end the day in a relaxed atmosphere and continue to connect with your fellow students.
