Personal details

Simon Baumgartinger-Seiringer is a PhD candidate in Economic Geography at the University of Vienna.  He holds a Master’s degree in Geography, Economics and History (teacher training). His research is concerned with the innovation-based restructuring of regions. In particular, he is interested in systemic and integrative perspectives on industrial path development and regional innovation system dynamics. Empirically, Simon focuses on the Austrian automotive industry and the wider regional implications of its current transformation towards a more sustainable and digitalized sector.
