Biography
My journey began with a degree in Sociology from the Universidad Andres Bello in Santiago, Chile, which helped me develop a critical lens for analyzing the vulnerabilities faced by different communities and social groups. During this time, I was awarded the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program Scholarship, which allowed me to spend a year studying international relations at Bishop's University in Sherbrooke, Canada.
The next step of my journey led me to Geneva, Switzerland, where I completed my Masters in Development Studies at the Graduate Institute with a focus on migration. These studies and experiences allowed me to start working on climate advocacy at the diplomatic and ministerial level, and within various UN processes. Working first-hand with climate-vulnerable countries was a unique experience that fueled my passion for understanding the intersection between migration and climate change. I decided to deepen my knowledge by pursuing a PhD at the University of Vienna, where I am researching the limits of migration as adaptation, with a regional focus on Latin America.
