Biography

I locate my work at the intersection of science, policy, and practice. I am currently enrolled as a PhD student and work on the interaction between environmental change and mobilities with an Indonesian case study thanks to a DOC-ÖAW Fellowship. My project investigates what we can learn from people and places with long histories of environmental change and mobilities. For this I employed qualitative research methods and engaged in digital and in person ethnography mostly in Central Sulawesi.

I am an associate member of the Research Platform Mobile Cultures and Societies at the University of Vienna, and a member at the Global De-Centre. I have worked on transnational migration, gender, and social protection in both research and practitioner contexts. I have a background in education, arts & culture, NGO, and IO. I particularly enjoy engaging diverse stakeholders and discourses. My experience in education and engagement with migrant communities intersect in a decolonial and anti-racist praxis in cultural, artistic, and academic spheres. I received my BA from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador and my MA in Cultural and Social Anthropology from the University of Vienna.
